Casa Romero Project Submission & Blessing Process
Purpose of the Process
The purpose of this process is primarily to strengthen the ties in the Ramos Community. Each step will be an opportunity to interact with each other. It is also an indispensable vehicle for Casa Romero to integrate IA projects into the overall operation of the Center. The documentation of the projects will be a vehicle for recording the Ramos Community apostolic history. Finally, Ramos Community follows this process to ensure that it offers the best of the community to the people we serve.
Which Projects require this process?
Ramos Community adheres to this process when the projects target people as opposed, for example, to decorating or cleaning the Center.
The process applies both when IAs initiate projects as well as when Casa Romero requests projects from Ramos Community.
Process Steps
- Pray over the call from God to offer a project.
- Have an exploratory discussion of the project with Casa Romero Director.
- Fill out the Project Form (from number 25 to 33). If the project is initiated by Casa Romero, the form is filled out in collaboration with the Center’s Director.
- Send the filled out form to IA/CR Coordinator (Paco Martorell) or, in his absence, to one of the other two members of the IA/Casa Romero Committee (Margadette Demet and Ann Diliberti).
- The IA/CR Committee reviews the project information and ensures that the form is completed properly.
- The coordinator or delegate approaches the contact person to get additional or clarifying information if necessary.
- Once the form is completed properly, the Coordinator shares the project form with the community at least two weeks before the project is presented to the community.
- Individual members of the Ramos community could, then, express concerns or questions directly to the person proposing the project. If concerns or questions cannot be resolved between these individuals, the IA/CR team is consulted to assist in issue resolution. Absence of any communication from members of the community regarding the project shall be considered an affirmation. On projects where objections or significant concerns remain, the Coordinator will notify the Conservi who will schedule time for discussion of the project at a community meeting. (The need to reach full consensus by the community is a pending issue at this time).
- When a project is ready for presentation, the Coordinator notifies the Conservi who, in turn, schedule a time for such presentation to the community.
- Introduced by one of the Conservi, the associate responsible for the project presents the project to the community by giving a brief description of the project, sharing how God is calling him/her to this ministry, and finally asking the community to join efforts with him/her through prayer or other support. There is no discussion of issues or concerns at this time since all are expected to have been resolved in the previous steps.
- The community embraces the project by offering support and by formally expressing its approval requested by one of the Conservi.
- The Coordinator hands the project form to the CR Director for formal approval since CR makes the final decision. If deemed necessary, the Director request the approval of the CR Board.
- The Director dates and initials the cover page of the form to indicate the formal approval of the project. The project can begin at that time.
Blessing
The Coordinator notifies the Conservi that Casa Romero has formally approved the project. The Conservi, then, schedule the blessing as the affirmation of the project, at a session when the Community celebrates the Eucharist. At the end of the Eucharist, the community blesses the IA by laying on of hands over the associate and praying over him/her using affirmation prayers.
Project Implementation
The beginning of the project can take place before the blessing so that services would not be delayed.
Casa Romero personnel, the IA/CR Coordinator and the IA/CR Committee offer assistance and support in the implementation of the project.
Report
At the termination of the project or after a year of operation, following the Project Form instructions, the IA in charge of the project writes a report and submits it to the Director giving a copy to the IA/CR Coordinator.
