Milwaukee Ramos Community
The Ramos Community is the oldest of the Ignatian Associates Communities. After considerable discussion and 2 years of Formation with one another, eleven people made their First Promises on June 12, 1994. [Photo below]
In the Fall of 2008, thirty-six “promised” members and six others, who are currently in a 2-year formation period, compose the current Ramos Community.
Previously planned events and activities:
Celebration with Jesuit Jubilarians
On November 6, 2008, led by Mary Byrne and Elizabeth Martorell, members of the Ramos Community (and a couple of IAs from the Twin Cities) honored the Jesuits who recently celebrated a Jubilee–of 50, 60, and even 70 years in the Society of Jesus or since Ordination. Cake, ice cream and much singing contributed to a gala festivity!
“And God Said It Was Good!” — A Conference Weaving Together Science and Spirituality
Several members of the Ramos Community and friends planned a conference on October 17 & 18, 2008, in which 349 people participated.
