Communities

locations and history

Currently the Ignatian Associates have over 120 members living in five communities:

Each community governs itself and is unique in character and apostolic works.  Members gather locally two or three times a month for faith sharing, community discussions and reflection, liturgy, and apostolic service.  Community members elect two representatives as Conservi (servant leaders) to guide the spiritual and administrative life of the community and one representative to the Board of Directors to work with representatives from the other communities on organizational issues and concerns.  Each year, members from all communities come together in a location chosen by the host community, along with our Jesuit companions, for the Annual Gathering.  At the Gathering, new members make their First Promises, Associates renew their Promises, we grow in our spirituality and we strengthen relationships as Ignatian Associates.

The Associates are open to helping establish new communities to share our mission.   If you are interested in doing so, please contact us at info@ignatianassociates.org.
